Whitepath Golf Club
Gilmer County Golf Course was built in 1983 with 750 lots surrounding the 18 fairways. The course, which is mountainous, was designed by Rocky Roquemore and Joe Lee, who have built courses world-wide. Initially, lots sold out within six months to individuals.
Resales of lots in Buckhorn are available, including a few on the fairways, priced from $16,000 to over $300,000. Presently there are about 200 homes both permanent and seasonal with prices ranging from $200,000 to over $1,500,000.
